should state governments impose restrictions on when and with whom teenagers can drive
Supporters of increased driving restrictions say: Traffic accidents are the leading cause of teen deaths in the U.S. In order to make the nation's roads safer, teens should not receive full driving privileges until they have matured emotionally and undergone extensive driver's training. Among other steps, states should ban teens from driving at night and transporting passengers.
Critics of increased driving restrictions say: While some teen drivers do represent a legitimate threat to public safety, delaying the age at which they receive full licensure does not improve overall road safety. Rather than denying driving privileges to teens, which inconveniences parents and teens alike, states should focus their efforts on creating more comprehensive driver's education courses.
I don't support the fact that the state wants to impose restrictions on teenagers.I believe that students should be able to drive when they want with who they want just as an adult. We should not be treated different just because were a little bit younger .Even thought we go through all the training an getting insurance there is nothing that can all together stop a car accident.You can't blame teens for all the car accidents in the world because adults make mistakes to an so do the elderly. So why ain't they being restricted like us teens? Why ain't they being told who they can and cant drive with ?

The state may think that enforcing all these new laws on teens is going to make the streets safer, but my opinion i don't think they are i think they are just making it harder on the parent and teens . Enforcing theses new laws is unnesassary . I'm not saying that there shouldn't be any rules but there shouldn't be as many as there are it's not needed .Laws such as cerfew and not being able to drive alone is not needed that's what causes wrecks . It causes parents to have to go out of there way to take their kids to work because its a certain time and they cant drive. Their parents become angered and forget all about the driving laws that apply to them and speed off without warning
